Editor
Amelia Ford is a highly experienced editor, working across feature films, television, and documentaries. Over the past two decades, Amelia has amassed an extensive body of work in television and film, one that spans multiple genres, formats and budget scopes.
Most recently, Amelia cut the finale episodes for the Princess Pictures and Disney+ series, Last Day of the Space Age (dir. Kriv Stenders), which is set to be released October 2024. She also was the setup editor of the newly premiered Stan series, Critical Incident (dir. Neill Sharma) for Matchbox Pictures. Across 2022 and 2023, Amelia amassed an array of credits including two episodes of The Artful Dodger (dir. Corrie Chen/ Sony Pictures Television, Disney+), all episodes of Upright season 2 (dir. Mirrah Foulkes/ Lingo Pictures, Binge) and episodes across season 1 of Surviving Summer (dir. Sian Davies/ Werner Productions, Netflix). Her work in the latter earned her a nomination for Best Editing in Television at the 2022 AACTA Awards.
Amelia’s other television credits include the first season of the globally successful No Activity (dir. Trent O’Donnell/ Jungle Entertainment, Stan, 2015), which earnt her a 2016 nomination for the Editing in Comedy ASE Award. Amelia also worked on episodes across season 6 of the acclaimed drama Offspring (dir. Shannon Murphy/ Southern Star, Network Ten) and seasons 4, 6 and 8 of Wentworth (dir. Kevin Carlin/ Fremantle Media, Foxtel, 2018-2020). Amelia was an editor on both seasons 2 and 4 of the hugely popular Stan series Bump (dirs. Leticia Caceres, Geoff Bennett and Ismail Khan/ Roadshow Rough Diamond, 2021-2023). Her work on the series, lead to her a second nomination from the ASE in 2022, for Best Editing in Drama. She is currently editing episodes of the highly anticipated final and fifth season of the show.
Amelia has also worked in various other capacities within the editing department on significant studio feature films, which includes being a VFX editor Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (dir. Troy Nixey/ FilmDistrict, 2010), on Rogue (dir. Greg McLean/ Village Roadshow, 2007) first assistant editor on The Railway Man (dir. Jonathan Teplitsky/ Archer Street Productions, Lionsgate UK, 2013), and the assembly editor for Of An Age (dir. Goran Stolevski/ Causeway Films, 2022). In 2020, Amelia edited the feature film, The Menkoff Method (dir. David Parker/ White Hot Productions), starring Noah Taylor.
