Archipelago Of Souls by Gregory Day Shortlisted for Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Award

The Cameron Creswell Agency congratulates client Gregory Day for the shortlisting of his novel Archipelago of Souls for the Tasmania Book Prize in the 2017 Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Awards. The shortlist was announced on 14 September and the winner will be revealed at a reception at Government House in Hobart on 27 November. This $25,000 award recognises the influence Tasmania has had on content or perspective and is supported by the Tasmanian Government.

Set on King Island in Tasmania, as well as another island on the other side of the world, Crete, Archipelago of Souls is a novel exploring the difficult realities of nationhood, war, morality and love. Compelling and beautifully realised, it is about the creation of identity, the enigmas of memory and the power of the written word to heal the deepest wounds.
