Congratulations to Director Shannon Murphy on her double win at the Australian Director's Guild Awards
Cameron’s is delighted to congratulate director Shannon Murphy on her two wins at the Australian Director’s Guild Awards last Friday.
Shannon received two nominations at this year’s awards and won in both categories for Best Direction in a Feature Film (budget over 1m) for Babyteeth and Best Direction in a TV or SVOD Drama Series for her episode of Killing Eve (Series 3, Episode 5).
Shannon’s win for Bayteeth is the latest in a string of accolades for her debut feature, following a BAFTA nomination for Best Direction as well as winning a total of nine AACTA Awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Murphy, at least year’s ceremony.
Her win for Killing Eve marks Shannon’s first television directing award.
Shannon is currently directing on The Power, an Amazon Studios & Sister Production (Chernobyl and The Split). The Power is a 10-part global thriller based on Naomi Alderman’s international bestselling novel starring Leslie Mann, Auli’i Cravalho and Tim Robbins.
