Costume Designer
Xanthe is a Sydney-based Costume Designer for Film, Television, and Theatre. Most recently, Xanthe was the Costume Designer on The Artful Dodger for Beach Road Pictures for Disney+. For her work on The Twelve for Easy Tiger/Warner Bros for Binge, Xanthe was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Costume Design in Television. Xanthe’s recent credits also include Total Control 2 for Blackfella Films/ABC as well as Ten Pound Poms for Eleven/BBC for Stan, for which she was recently nominated for Best Costume Design in Television at the upcoming 2024 AACTA Awards.
In 2019 Xanthe won the AACTA Award for Best Costume Design in Television for her work on Lambs of God (Lingo/Foxtel). She has also been nominated for AACTA Awards for Riot (Werner Film) and The Outlaw Michael Howe (CJZ Films). She has received five nominations from the APD Guild Awards.
Further work for TV includes the Jungle/ABC series Wakefield, Playmaker/Sony original drama series The Commons, Playmaker Media’s TV mini-series Friday On My Mind, Matchbox Pictures’ Hunters, and ABC3’s Ready for This.
In film, Xanthe most recently designed the costumes for Nekrotronic, directed by Kiah Roache-Turner and produced by Andrew Mason starring Monica Bellucci. Previously she worked on Sean Byrne’s feature film The Loved Ones (winner of the Toronto Film Festival – People’s Choice Award, Midnight Madness Program), Ruben Guthrie, 33 Postcards, and Michael James Rowland’s The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce (nominated for the 2010 Best Drama and Mini-Series Rose d’Or Festival Award).
Xanthe’s costume designs for stage have been showcased at venues including the Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Sydney Dance Company and NIDA.
