Writer
Xavier Hazard (he/him) is a queer writer and lawyer with a passion for stories that hit audiences in the gut and the heart and the humerus, all at once. His writing for screen and stage explores the truth in hidden worlds, and often draws on the strange lines between queerness, masculinity, and institutions of power. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (Writing) from both NIDA and the Victorian College of the Arts and is currently working as a notetaker and script coordinator across multiple television projects with Easy Tiger, Goalpost Pictures, ABC, Netflix, Warner Bros., Stan, and Roadshow Rough Diamond.
His most recent work ALL BOYS was long listed for the 2023 Griffin Award, had an acclaimed season directed by Mehhma Malhi at KXT on Broadway in 2024 and will be developed as a series. Other recent credits include team member on FINE ART for ABC’s Fresh Blood, and producer and dramaturg for ALEX AND EVIE AND THE FOREVER FALLING RAIN at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia and on tour with Circuit West.
