The Nightingale Heading to Venice

Congratulations to the team behind The Nightingale, which will be having its world premiere at the 75th Venice Film Festival.

Cameron’s clients' costume designer Margot Wilson, and production designer Alex Holmes, helped bring this thrilling story to life for Causeway Films.

The feature directed by Jennifer Kent is set in 1820s Tasmania. The plot follows a 21-year-old Irish convict woman who witnesses the brutal murder of her family by her soldier master and his cronies. Accompanied by an Aboriginal tracker she sets off through the wilderness to seek revenge on the men and gets much more than she bargained for.

The film stars Aisling Franciosi, Sam Claflin and Baykali Ganambarr. Transmission Films is yet to announce the Australian theatrical release date, so keep your eyes peeled for updates on our website.
