Australian Writers Guild Award Nominees Announced- Congratulations to Our Nominees
The nominations for the 52nd Annual Australian Writers Guild Awards were announced on Friday. We are pleased to congratulate our Cameron’s clients whose work has been recognized.
For film, Andrew Knight is nominated with Elise McCredie for Ride Like a Girl in Best Feature Film - Original, while Ben Lawrence is nominated for Best Documentary - Public Broadcast or Exhibition for his 2018 documentary Ghosthunter.
In television, Tamara Asmar is nominated with Adam Todd and Ian Meadows for On The Ropes in Best Television Series or Telemovie (4 Hours or less), while Andrew Knight is also nominated for his episode of Jack Irish (Season 2, Episode 1) in Best Television Series or Miniseries (4 Hours or more). In Best Comedy - Situation or Narrative, Leon Ford is nominated for Upright: ‘Day Six’.
Kate Mulvany secured two nominations this year: The Harp In The South is nominated for Best Stage Play, and her work in animation is recognized with a nomination for Best Animation for Beat Bugs: ‘Lady Madonna’.
For Best Community and Youth Theatre, Noëlle Janaczewska is nominated with Yellow Yellow Sometimes Blue.
Winners will be announced at the 52nd Annual AWGIE Awards held on Thursday 22nd August 2019.
