Congratulations to all our AACTA Nominees

The Cameron Creswell Agency is delighted to congratulate all our AACTA nominated clients for the recognition of their works amoung the 8th Annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards Nominations. 

JACK IRISH and RAKE have both been nominated for Best Drama Series with Andrew Knight and Peter Duncan nominated as co-creator/producers respectively. Peter and Andrew are also the writers for Rake and Andrew is a principle writer on Jack Irish.

In the Best Performance in a Television Comedy category Wayne Hope has been nominated for reprising his role as Don Angel in the satirical comedy follow-up to Very Small Business, BACK IN VERY SMALL BUSINESS.

Garry Phillips has been nominated for the Best Cinematography in Television award for his textured work on PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK. Bright, bold and intensely moody, it balances period and contemporary reimagining on a knife’s edge.

Xanthe Heubel has received a Best Costume Design in Television award nomination for her flawless work on RIOT, the miniseries which shines a spotlight on Australia's 1970s Gay & Lesbian Rights Movement, in what is now a key moment in LGBTQI history.

Noni Hazlehurst has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film category for her turn as the indominable Miss Cartwright in the recent feel-good hit LADIES IN BLACK. A charming story set in the summer of 1959, when the impact of European migration and the rise of women’s liberation is about to change Australia forever.

In the category of Best Cinematography in a Feature Film, Marden Dean has been nominated with Rick Rifici for an award for their work on the Tim Winton adaptation BREATH. Also nominated for her work on the critically-acclaimed film is Dany Cooper in the Best Editing of a Feature Film category.

Ben Lawrence is nominated in the Best Feature Documentary award category for GHOSTHUNTER. the lauded documentary has already received a slew of awards and nominations and enjoyed a successful season of screenings on the festival circuit.

Also nominated are Director Lucy Gaffy, who is up for a Best Short Fiction Film award as a producer for NURSERY RHYMES, and Director Stephen McCallum’s feature film debut is up for five awards including nominations for Best Lead Actor (Ryan Corr), Best Lead Actress (Abbie Lee) and Best Original Screenplay (Matt Nable).
