Australian Theatrical Release Date Set for Shannon Murphy's 'Babyteeth'

Universal Pictures announced this week that Babyteeth, the highly anticipated feature film debut from Cameron’s client Shannon Murphy, will open theatrically across Australia on July 23rd.

Babyteeth had its World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival last year before making its American debut at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. It has gone onto receive unwavering international acclaim since launching at both festivals.

The film, which stars Ben Mendelsohn, Essie Davis, Eliza Scanlen and Toby Wallace, follows couple who discover their seriously ill teenage daughter Milla (Scanlen) has fallen in love with drug dealer Moses (Wallace). It’s her protective parents’ worst nightmare but Milla teaches those in her orbit how to live like there is nothing to lose.
