Cameron's Welcomes Screenwriter Kim Wilson to the Agency
Cameron’s is thrilled to welcome screenwriter Kim Wilson to the agency.
Kim Wilson is an accomplished screenwriter, script producer and script editor with over 20 years’ experience in the film and television industry.
From 2016 to 2019, Kim was the Senior Script Executive for Foxtel, working closely with Head of Drama Penny Win in developing their drama slate. Alongside Wentworth, her award-winning projects include Picnic At Hanging Rock, Lambs of God, Fighting Season, The End and Upright.
Since leaving Foxtel, Kim is in high demand as a screenwriter and story consultant, and a frequent participant in writers’ rooms across the country. Recently, she has written two episodes for Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (Made Up Stories/Amazon) and is currently writing television episodes for Lingo and Guesswork.
Kim was story editor on the internationally acclaimed Wentworth (Fremantle/Foxtel) since season 4, as well as writing 5 episodes for the final two seasons. She has worked in-house on some of Australia’s most commercially successful and popular shows, including Associate Producer on A Place to Call Home (Seven Productions), Packed to the Rafters (script editor for 3 seasons, Script Producer for the final season), and All Saints (script editor). She started her career with a two-week placement at Neighbours, that ended up becoming 5 years in the script department as a storyliner, script editor and story editor.
Kim has worked as a script editor on projects across animation, television and film, including Season One of Total Control (Blackfella Films/ABC), and 2015 feature film Is This the Real World? (writer/director Martin McKenna). She is currently script editing an animated series in development for Mad Ones/Ludo.
Prior to becoming a screenwriter, Kim was a successful actor and playwright, writing and performing for numerous theatre companies including Melbourne’s Arena Theatre Company and Walt Disney Special Events.
Kim is a graduate of RMIT’s Advanced Diploma in Professional Screenwriting, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (RMIT University).
She lives on beautiful Dharug Country, on an island in the Hawkesbury River, with her partner of 20 years. When Kim’s not writing, she is probably playing bass guitar, learning Spanish or mucking about in boats.
