Congratulations to Josh Mapleston on the release of 'Surviving Summer'

Congratulations to screenwriter Josh Mapleston on the release of his young adult series Surviving Summer. Josh Mapleston co-created Surviving Summer with Joanna Werner and it was produced by Werner Films for Netflix and ZDF. Josh wrote multiple episodes of the series and was also the script producer.

The series has been trending in Australia since its release on Netflix. It follows the story of Summer Torres (Sky Katz), a fierce Brooklyn teen who’s just been sent to Australia to live with family friends the Gibsons, in a tiny coastal town on the Great Ocean Road. Despite her best efforts, Torres falls in love with the lifestyle, the people and the surf.
