'Last King of the Cross' To Premiere on Paramount+

The operatic story of brothers John and Sam Ibrahim will premiere on Paramount+ on 17 February 2023.

Inspired by John Ibrahim’s autobiography of the same name, the 10-part drama was produced by Helium (Mark Fennessy and Karl Zwicky produced, with Fennessy and Ibrahim as EPs), and it tracks John’s rise from a poverty-stricken immigrant with no education, no money, and no prospects, to Australia’s most infamous nightclub mogul in Sydney’s Kings Cross.

Starring alongside Lincol Younes and Claude Jabbour is English actor Tim Roth as lead antagonist Ezra Shipman, as well as Callan Mulvey, Tess Haubrich, Maria Tran and Matt Nable.

Alastair Newton Brown wrote Episode 5.

Catherine Millar directed Episodes 3 and 4.

Chris Plummer co-edited Episodes 1 and 2.
