Congratulations to Aaron McLisky and Bethany Ryan on the Release of ‘Talk to Me

Congratulations to Cameron’s Clients, cinematographer Aaron McLisky and Production Designer Bethany Ryan, on the release of their feature film, Talk to Me.

The film follows a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. They become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

After its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it screened in the midnight section, after which A24 acquired the North American rights, it went onto screen at SXSW 2023, the Berlin International Film Festival 2023, and had its Australian premiere on the closing night of the 2022 Adelaide film festival to a standing ovation.

The film has received unwaveringly positive review from critics, and currently holds a 96% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw said, “Talk to Me is freaky and confrontational and hilariously crass”.  The ABC’s Luke Goosell also praised the film; “The movie has audacious style to spare, and the Philippous' energy is infectious as they unleash a decade's worth of dabbling into a debut that rocks and rolls with relish.”

It is the directorial feature debut of Australian twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou (RackaRacka), and was written by Bill Hinzman, Daley Pearson, and Danny Philippou. It stars Sophie Wilde, Joe Bird, and Alexandra Jensen, and was produced by Causeway Films.

The film is in cinemas nationwide now.
