First look at Kris Mrksa’s Requiem released

The trailer for Kris Mrksa’s new series is here, giving us a preview of what to expect from the eerie psychological thriller when it debuts on BBC One early next month.

Requiem, which is co-produced by Netflix, tells the story of a young cellist (Lydia Wilson) who is drawn into the 23-year-old mystery of a missing child from a small welsh town, when her mother’s inexplicable suicide calls into question her identity.

The six-part drama is written and created by Kris Mrksa, who is also an executive producer. Cameron’s client Blake Ayshford also wrote an episode. Mahalia Belo directs.

Of the series Mrksa said “Requiem is the show I've always wanted to make. To be making it with the team at New Pictures, and for the BBC and Netflix, networks that I so greatly admire, really is a dream come true."

Requiem premieres on BBC One on 2 February at 9pm.
