Ben Lawrence and Audible release, Ghosthunter, a Five-Part True-Crime Podcast Inspired by the Feature Documentary
Cameron’s writer-director Ben Lawrence in association with Audible has released the five-part true-crime podcast, Ghosthunter, inspired by Ben’s award-winning and critically lauded documentary feature of the same name.
Both the podcast and the feature follow Jason King, a Western Sydney security guard and self-taught ghost hunter confronting a terrible family secret. Over the seven years that it took for Ben to complete making the documentary, he became incredibly close to Jason, going onto say, “You never know how deep the rabbit hole will take you. There were so many personal twists and turns over the seven years creating Ghosthunter that I found myself deeply immersed in Jason's life, I was even the best man at his wedding."
“The podcast format meant I was also free to spend an extended amount of time telling the story, giving Ghosthunter the space and detail it needed to develop fully," said Ben.
Audible director of original content Ben Naparstek added; “Listeners will find themselves captivated by the premium sound experience and narrative of Ghosthunter as it examines the intrinsic way human beings deal with trauma.”
The entire five-part series is available now on Audible - free for members or with a 30-day free trial.
