Madeleine Gottlieb's 'You and Me, Before and After' Selected for Toronto International Film Festival 2021

Congratulations to writer-director, Madeleine Gottlieb, whose short film You and Me, Before and After has been selected for Toronto International Film Festival 2021.

Written and directed by Madeleine, You and Me, Before and After stars Yael Stone and Emily Barclay as Hannah and Rachel, adult sisters with baggage. As per the Screen Australia Media Release, “Today they have agreed to get their first tattoos together. Stuck side-by-side in the chair with nothing to do but talk, they are forced to confront a shared history that’s as painful as it is hilarious.”

You and Me, Before and After is one of four Australian films that have been selected for this year’s festival, alongside Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog , documentary Burning, directed by Eva Orner and Nash Edgerton’s short film Shark.

You and Me, Before and After will make its international premiere in TIFF Short Cuts, following its world premiere this month at Melbourne International Film Festival.
