SBS Anthology Drama series ‘Erotic Stories’ Enters Production
Erotic Stories, the 8 x 30-minute anthology drama series from SBS and Lingo Pictures, has entered production. Each episode will explore a diverse range of lead characters who have not typically been written as a sexual lead on Australian screens; be it queer, gender-diverse, living with disability, middle-aged and/or people of colour.
The series is being brought to life by an array of Cameron’s clients, which includes, director Madeleine Gottlieb, making her long-form television debut with four episodes, and with Leticia Cáceres directing the additional four episodes in the series.
Cameron’s screenwriters, Tamara Asmar (‘Imperfect Paw Paw’), Adrian Chiarella (‘Sleeping Dogs’) and Marieke Hardy (‘You Always Hurt The Ones You Love’) each wrote their own episode, which they individually conceived, and then developed alongside an impressive writing team.
Christine Cheung will also edit Madeleine Gottlieb’s four episodes.
The starry cast was unveiled last week, which includes Frances O’Connor, Kate Box, Danielle Cormack and Rarriwuy Hick.
The series is expected to premiere in 2024.
