Lucy Gaffy to Direct Australian/Irish Co-Production ‘Mixtape’ for Binge
Cameron's client, Lucy Gaffy, is set to direct the recently announced four-part miniseries, Mixtape; an adaptation of the Jane Sanderson novel.
The miniseries, which will be produced by Aquarius Films and Irish-based production company Subotica, it is set in Sheffield, England in 1989 and follows the teen romance between Daniel and Alison. The story follows their journey to modern-day adult relationships, with the pair living on opposite sides of the world but forever connected through the music of their generation. Daniel and Alison reconnect through a song from their shared past and explore their burning curiosity to understand if this is the love, and life, they were meant to have.
The Australian-Irish co-production will also be shot by Cameron's client, cinematographer Marden Dean. The series has major production investment from the Foxtel Group in association with Screen Australia and Screen Ireland. International sales are being handled by Eccho Rights.
