David Williamson’s 'The Puzzle' Opens at STCSA

David Williamson’s brand-new comedy The Puzzle opened this week at the Dunstan Playhouse, State Theatre Company South Australia.

The play follows a married couple who are bored with their monogamous relationship. Eager to inject some vim into their vows, they book themselves in for a “lifestyle” cruise, where they meet another couple, similarly looking for some stimulation at sea…meanwhile, a father and daughter are trying to reconnect on what he thought was an “mediterranean history” tour! The keys go in the jar, the recriminations flow in the bar.

David Williamson, the grand old man of Australian theatre shows his continual insight and capacity to satirise the middle-class.” The Conversation

“As a vehicle for exploring human relationships, it’s ideal. It’s Williamson to the core.” Arts Hub

“The Puzzle sees the return of Williamson at his best. It is extremely funny and performed by an excellent cast. Boom-chikka-wah-wah!!” Glam Adelaide

Running now until 12 October 2024 at the Dunstan Playhouse.
